Best Rooftop Restaurants And Bars in Nairobi

When you are out looking for chill restaurants with a view in Nairobi and away from the buzz, consider savouring the following top picks in the City.

Fifteen Rooftop Restaurant

Fifteen Rooftop is an ultramodern hotel with a tri-space design. This design spans 3 separate lounges atop The Curve By the Park.

This location off Mombasa Road gives its guests a vantage view of the Nairobi National Park, one of a kind wildlife park in a city.

The different views also sweep across the City to Ngong Hills. You can also enjoy a view of the Nairobi business district.

The sleek Sunset Lounge offers frothy beers, a connoisseur-worthy wine list, and select light meals.

The lounge boasts a range of cigars imported from Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua for sophisticated puffers.

If you want to enjoy the stunning Nairobi National Park views, make a reservation earlier.

The pace gets quite busy over the weekend. I first learned this the hard way.

I had to contend with sitting at a very uneventful side of the restaurant, which I loathed. You don’t want a similar fate!

Their meals are just OK. Not the best considering their pricey menu. I expected better, but again, I was disappointed.

I ordered their buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes, and it was underwhelming.

The chicken was soaked in fat, while the mashed potatoes were oversalted, making them inedible. However, I must say their cocktails are a 10/10. They are a delight!

Better book a seat in this much sought-after space, especially by the window.

This is one of the best rooftop restaurants along Mombasa road. The lights go out at 10 pm everyday except Friday and Saturday nights when it’s adieus at 2 am.

Peppertree Restaurant

One of Nairobi’s best roof bars and restaurants sits on the second floor of Delta Towers on Waiyaki Way.

Set in a garden décor theme captured by the lush live plants that give the Peppertree its chic and earthy ambiance.

It’s a small intimate rooftop restaurant and bar that gets a bit packed by the younger working people living along Westlands.

If you want to enjoy the views, call in early and reserve a set next to the windows.

The last time I was here, I ordered their Peppertree burger, which was VERY delicious.

My friend ordered pork ribs, and both meals were delectable. I highly recommend this place over and over.

Again, their cocktails are great! And there is a Happy hour, so be there on time!

The bespoke furnishings speak of class and comfort, and the contemporary lamps give just enough light to set the scene for intimate and relaxing hours in the chic restaurant.

Peppertree walled in the hotel with ceiling-to-floor windows that give a sweeping view of the expansive City from many sides.

The menu is a wonder of dishes from the world over, some with ingredients from distant lands to ensure they taste as they should.

Different types of Margaritas are just a hint of the pleasant surprises the bar offers.

Although the kitchen closes at 9.00 pm from Sunday to Wednesday, the hotel runs from noon to 10.30 pm.

As the weekend closes in, plans to visit Peppertree may consider that it opens from noon to 11 pm, Thursday to Saturday, and the kitchen closes at 9.30 pm.
