Nestled in the heart of Kenya, Sagana offers the perfect escape for nature lovers seeking a unique camping experience. The area is quiet surrounded by lush green with several waterfalls and breathtaking landscapes which makes ideal for camping sites in Sagana.

There are several campsites with stunning river views, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Here’s a list of the top camping sites in Sagana that offer adventure and comfort.

Tetura Luxury Camp

Tetura Camp is the perfect destination for a unique and luxurious camping experience. Tucked in a 10-acre former colonial ranch at Maragua Ridge, Murang’a County, this stunning resort offers a one-of-a-kind escape for the most discerning visitors.

The camp’s setup is around a natural rock tree garden, with spacious rooms that seamlessly blend the comforts of a city hotel room with the serenity of a tent. The architect has masterfully preserved the exotic indigenous trees, including the Marula tree, providing a truly unique experience.

Other offerings at the Tetura Luxury Camp include:

  • Restaurant and bar
  • Conference hall
  • Team building/wedding grounds
  • Mango Grove
  • A jogging/cycling track

At Tetura Luxury Camp, relaxation and bonding with nature are guaranteed; it’s one of the best picnic sites in Sagana!

Jangwani Camp Sagana

If you are a group of adventure junkies looking for camping sites in Sagana, you should try Jangwani Camp.  Jangwani Camp is a natural paradise and an eco-friendly camp in front of four raging waterfalls that connect to the Sagana River.

The views here are breathtaking  and you can enjoy water rafting experiences. Besides camping in nature while enjoying spectacular views, you can also participate in these fun activities:

  • Nature walks
  • Rafting
  • Kayaking
  • Ziplining
  • Archery

Besides the famous white water rafting, certified guides in Jangwani take thrill-seekers on an exciting journey. You’ll enjoy natural slides, plunge into the river, explore caves (depending on the season), and navigate level 4 rapids.

What I love most about Jangwani camp is that if going as a group, you can do your own barbecue at the grounds. They also allow campers to carry their own drinks so it’s kind of an affordable camping site in Sagana.

Oh! And for some reason, the place doesn’t get too cold or windy. I don’t do quite well in cold places, and I was abit apprehensive about camping here. But was so surprised at night because I didn’t freeze.
