During the call, Obinna engaged with a representative from a supermarket chain interested in securing Dem wa Facebook’s services for a two-month promotional campaign. The manager’s opening stance left the potential client visibly surprised:

“It is the power of the brand—the value the brand is adding to your brand, the leverage you are getting with brand visibility and brand association, and the activation she will be doing for you for two months. The best amount I can lock her down for is KSh 500,000 per month,” Obinna stated firmly.

To put this in perspective, Obinna was proposing a total of 1 million Kenyan Shillings for the two-month engagement.

Obinna clarified that the quoted amount was net pay, with all relevant taxes already accounted for.

Obinna emphasized the importance of having a well-defined strategy for utilizing Dem wa Facebook’s talents. He advised:

“Negotiate with my manager, but don’t go lower than that. KSh 250,000 for two months? What are we doing here?”
